Transform Your Digital Camera With a Magnetic Wide Angle Lens!

Camera

Ever wonder how you could take an adequate picture of a 10x10 bedroom without making it look like you're trying to sell the furniture rather than the space?

I just found out the other day that there is a magnetic wide angle lens you can attach to your digital camera!

Go to magneticlens.com and determine which lens is best for your camera. The lens simply attaches to the front of your camera and VOILA! No more squeezing yourself into the corner of a bedroom to try and get more than just that queen size bed in the photo.

And the cost is reasonable -- only about $40.

Happy picture taking!

I have been wanting to get one of these but can't decide whether to buy a new camera. I wonder how well these work.

Hi Peggy ~ Thanks for the reminder - I've been meaning to get one of these.  Taking photos of rooms is hopeless without one almost.  I'm a complete novice - since these are magnetic do you pop it off if you don't want to use the wide angle?

Peggy, looks like a good way to increase the range of your digital camera. Thanks for the link.

Gary -- I should have mine in a couple of days so I'll let you know. They do offer a money back guarantee if I don't like it, which is always a comfort. Thank you for stopping by!

Liz -- Yes, from what I've seen and understand you just remove it from the magnetic strip. They showed it to us at a class I went to on Tuesday. I just ordered one so will let you know how it works!

Jim & Maria -- I thought so, too. Have been paying a professional to take photos. Hopefully I can save on that expense now!

Michael -- You are very welcome. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!!

Very interesting information.  I would be very interested in speaking to someone who has already used one of these lenses to find out how the resulting photographs turned out.

Wide angle lenses really make a huge difference when photographing a house.

Peggy - I can see how this could really make your pictures stand out among all the others.  I will be checking this out, as it will allow you to showcase the home and rooms better.

I've been using one of these for a couple of years now.  I have two, one wide angle and one telephoto.

They work pretty well.  I can get the front shot of the house without needing to run across the street and try to time the shot between the flying cars. LOL

Due to its placement in front of the regular lens, it tends to vinette just a bit but you can compensate by sliding the lens around a little. You can get enough in the shot to allow for a little cropping if needed.

Brenda -- I did have a professional take photos for me, but hopefully won't have that expense anymore!

Troy -- Still haven't received the lens I ordered but hopefully this week!

Dana -- Thank you for the tip! I am pretty excited to see how well this works.

Peggy, my problem is that fish-bowl look, you know, where the sides of the photo bend. I'll bet this lens will correct that problem. I'll check it out! Thanks.

Marianne -- I still haven't received the lens so they will be getting a call today. Hope it's on its way! And I hope it doesn't create that "fish bowl" look. (I hate that!) :)

Peggy - Wide angle is the only way to go in Real Estate pictures. Nice tip and rather inexpensive I might add. Thanks

Peggy, has it arrived yet? And have you had a chance to use it?

Posted by Marianne Snygg, ABR, ASP, GRI, SFR (ERA Herman Group Real Estate) over 2 years ago

Hi, Marianne -- I have not received it yet and have emailed the company twice to check on my order status. (It should have been here about a week ago.) A friend of mine is having the same problem and received a response that they received an unusual amount of orders but that it was on the way. If I don't have it in Monday's mail, I'll email again. (There's no phone number on their web site...)

Oh, no. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hi Peggy:

I ordered one a couple of months ago and two weeks after I ordered it I went to check my order and there was no tracking number available.  I emailed them and they said they were behind in inventory but that my order was sent to the shipping department and would be sent out UPS.  They also said they would refund my shipping and handling charges.  It did arrive finally.  It does give a wider view and fits easily on the camera.  Good luck!
