DO YOU CHOOSE A REAL ESTATE COMPANY OR A REAL ESTATE AGENT?
I had lunch recently with a colleague and friend, and among the many things we talked about was--
Does a buyer or seller choose a company or an agent to work with?
As real estate agents, we tend to track where our business comes from. It helps us determine which marketing methods are providing the best return.
Are we getting calls off our personal web site?
Are we getting calls off the sign in front of our listing?
Did the client find us on our company's web site or did they do a general Google search for agents in their area?
Are we getting referrals from our family, friends, or past customers?
Did the customer connect with us through our blog or one of our mailings?
Or did they just call the office and ask to speak with an agent, and we just happened to be covering phones at the time?
How do you decide who to work with when buying or selling a home?
Do you assume you will get better service from an agent because they work for a larger, better known company or do you believe the level and quality of service you receive depends more on the agent and has no bearing on the company they are associated with?
Do you base it solely on an individual's level of production? Do you ask to see some testimonials or references?
What are you looking for when it comes to buying or selling a house??
